What is a dental implant?

A dental implant is basically a small artificial tooth root. Being made of pure titanium, it fully integrates with the bone- titanium is completely biocompatible and there is no rejection per se. Dental implants, like tooth roots, are not visible once surgically placed and are used to support crowns, bridges or even full dentures.

What can implants be used for?

Implants can be used to support both full dentures and bridges, and effectively eliminate the need for adhesives to keep dentures in place
